It was a beautiful spring afternoon when Kyle Preston began ignoring his teacher in physics class. The equations and concepts were not interesting that particular day. Life was asking for that deterministic side of the mind to be put on hold for a time. Where as some refer to it as inspiration, others as boredom; one thought began to circulate within his mind, oscillating back and forth: Out of the multitude of music available these days, independent and commercial, how many electronic musical acts exist that are not afraid to flash a little teeth; something with an element of uneasiness and perhaps a bit of idealism? He's convinced that the answer, subjective though it may be, is not nearly as many as there should be. "There is something stimulating about your work representing a type of sound that isn't so easy to find on the Internet", he remarks. No one should be claiming that he's blasting through uncharted territories; just that some creativity needs to move down a road less traveled. With influences all over the place (Nine Inch Nails, Dryft, Rachmaninoff), it seems that his project is destined to entertain the darker sides of our intellect. Upon obtaining his 'Letters' EP, the listener will be transported to a world drenched in existential crises, science, religion, and most everything in between. "I think beneath all of the dark sounds and layers and the what does it all mean type questions, there really is a message of hope. Which I believe is a message that cannot be stated enough" he says. For the time being, he has no current plans to set up a live show and intends to keep this project in a studio environment until life creates the necessity to establish a live experience.
